Horine Group is privileged to be the project management firm coordinating design and development of The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center on behalf of La Jolla Music Society.
The Conrad will serve as the heart of cultural and arts education, ultimately bringing world-class performances to the community. The new Performing Arts Center and permanent home of La Jolla Music Society is to be located at 7600 Fay Avenue in La Jolla. The Conrad will be a 43,693 square-foot facility with the interior including a 500-seat concert hall, a 150-seat cabaret and multi-use space, new offices for La Jolla Music Society, rehearsal rooms, and a large open courtyard.
Community spirit was elemental to the building’s design. Therefore La Jolla Music Society went through a yearlong competitive process, selecting EPSTEIN JOSLIN Architects, Inc. for their renowned expertise in building acclaimed music and performance spaces. The Conrad aims to be an internationally recognized music hall known for excellent acoustics. For that reason, La Jolla Music Society has engaged Yasuhisa Toyota, President of Nagata Acoustics America, Inc. to develop a concert hall that will be acoustically exceptional.
These circumstances create an opportunity to be involved in the development and construction of a truly prestigious performance facility. The Horine Group will conduct a rigorous search in order to put together the best array of creative talent, specialized expertise, and innovative personnel to create our construction team.
